Terms of Service

Last updated

The rules for using Réson, in plain language. The short version: your content is yours, you approve what goes out, use Réson honestly, and remember that AI can make mistakes.

1.These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Réson (“Réson”, “we”, “us”) about your use of the Réson website and application (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you use Réson for an organisation, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms on its behalf, and “you” includes that organisation.

We've written these terms in plain language. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

2.The beta

Réson is in beta. That means:

  • the Service is free during the beta;
  • generation credits are limited per workspace, with monthly and daily limits;
  • features may change, be added or be removed, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable;
  • paid plans will be announced. We'll tell you about pricing before it applies to your workspace, and you can choose not to continue.

We may end the beta or the Service with reasonable notice, and we'll give you an opportunity to download your content.

3.Your account and team

  • You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure.
  • You're responsible for activity in your workspace, including by people you invite.
  • Workspace owners and admins decide who has access and with which role (owner, admin, editor or viewer).
  • Réson is for business use. You must have reached the age of majority where you live.

4.Your content

You own your content. That includes what you upload or type (files, text, chat exports, contacts) and, to the extent the law allows, the content Réson generates for you.

You give us permission to host, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide and secure the Service for you — for example, to analyse your files, generate drafts, or publish something you approved to a channel you connected. We don't sell your content and we don't use it to train AI models.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for what you upload, including any personal information about other people.

5.AI-generated content

Réson uses AI. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable, even when it's grounded in your business profile. Réson labels unverified information as suggestions, but you should still review everything before you use it — especially facts, prices, offers, health, legal or financial statements, and anything about other people or businesses.

AI may produce similar content for other users. We don't guarantee that generated content is unique or that it doesn't resemble existing material.

6.Approval and responsibility for what you publish

By default, Réson doesn't publish or send anything without your explicit approval. When you approve content — or set up an automation or channel to act on your behalf — you are responsible for what is published or sent, and for making sure it complies with the law and with the rules of the platforms you use.

You can review, edit, skip or delete any draft. Approving a piece of content is your decision, not ours.

7.Email outreach and anti-spam laws

If you use Réson to contact people, you must comply with applicable anti-spam and privacy laws, including Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). In particular, you must have consent to send commercial messages, identify yourself, and honour unsubscribe requests promptly.

Réson helps — it tracks consent, excludes contacts without valid consent, adds identification and an unsubscribe link, and keeps a suppression list — but these tools are not legal advice and don't replace your own responsibility.

8.Acceptable use

Don't use Réson to:

  • break the law or help someone else do so;
  • send spam or contact people without the consent the law requires;
  • create misleading or deceptive content, including fake reviews, fake testimonials, or false claims about products, prices or results;
  • impersonate a person or business, or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • harass, threaten, or promote hatred or violence against anyone;
  • create sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers children;
  • upload malware, probe or disrupt the Service, or try to access other workspaces;
  • get around usage limits, or resell the Service without our permission;
  • scrape the Service or use it to build a competing product.

We may remove content or suspend access when we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, and we'll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

9.Third-party services

Réson can work with services you connect, such as publishing channels or email accounts, as each integration becomes available. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms and policies. You can disconnect them at any time. We're not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their decisions about your accounts.

10.No guarantees of results

Réson helps you create and organise marketing. We don't guarantee any particular result — including sales, leads, engagement, reach, search rankings, or what AI assistants or search engines say about your business.

11.Disclaimers and liability

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, especially during the beta, without warranties of any kind.

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Service. During the free beta, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD $100.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that you have under laws that can't be excluded by contract, including consumer protection laws where they apply.

12.Suspension and ending

You can stop using Réson at any time and ask us to delete your workspace. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we'll give notice and a chance to download your content first.

13.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We'll post the new version here with a new “last updated” date and notify account holders of significant changes before they take effect. If you keep using Réson after that, the new terms apply.

14.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws in force in the province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
