Search visibility
Find out what search engines can reach
Check what search engines can reach. Compare Google Search Console exports and track how often an AI model recommends your business for the same buyer questions.
Search visibility
Three ways to examine your visibility
Check your sitemap and key pages
Réson reads your sitemap, checks the homepage and up to five listed pages, and flags redirects, robots.txt blocks, noindex directives, and canonical URLs that point elsewhere.
Compare search performance
Open two Search Console exports and compare the same queries or pages. Find entries near page one and check which rows lost clicks. Réson reads the files in your browser.
Track AI recommendations
Test up to three buyer questions each week with Gemini’s web search turned off. Read the answers and see whether they list your official website. Use live crawl checks to track what search services can reach.
Work through a search problem in order
Check the public URL
Open the URL a customer should land on. A sitemap entry that redirects to a different address can be replaced with the destination after you verify that page.
Read the indexing signals
If the page carries a noindex directive, check whether that is intentional. Inspect the same URL in Search Console to see Google's index status and selected canonical.
Record and measure
Write down the change and its date. Compare equal date ranges with the same filters. Review impressions, clicks, and average position together, especially when the mix of queries changes.
An example from a small workshop
A repair shop updates its pumps service page. Its sitemap still links to the old address, which redirects. The team updates the sitemap to the current URL, checks that page in Search Console, and records the date. At the next review it compares the same service queries and landing page against the prior period.
When a site changes often, schedule a crawl check in Visibility. The workspace records each sample and flags new blocking signals or a large drop in listed sitemap URLs.
Review two public pages side by side before editing your own page. You can also schedule a weekly watch to see when a reference page changes its title, section headings, description, or indexing directives.
Try a question that describes the customer’s need and leaves out your business name. A separate check compares what AI says about your named business with the facts you have confirmed in Réson.
